Re: Long 45 cut on large piece conundrum
What if you rip the door in half then make a filler piece 1.75x1.75 to fill the inside corner. If you can duplicate the ogee trim you could cope pieces to cover the panel edges. No miters required. If you want to miter the long edge I think I would still rip the door in half and then have a lighter ...

Re: Parts for "new" 1987 510
I bought two of these at Lowe's. I will change the rivet to get a less sloppy fit. The set screws are very big but the price was right. https://www.lowes.com/pd/SteelTek-3-4-in-Black-Steel-Structural-Fitting-Single-Swivel-Socket/1000494939 I got my version of Geoff Baker’s “Shopsmith Speedleg” done...

Re: Parts for "new" 1987 510
Here are photos of the McMaster 4698T91 t-rail connector. Shown next to the Shopsmith standard connector. Holes are sloppy in both connectors because they are designed to clear a "nominal" 3/4" Schedule 40 pipe, which is actually 1.05" OD. Shopsmith rail is 1.00" OD tubing....

Re: Parts for "new" 1987 510
Have a look at McMaster # 4698T96. I need two of those "speed-rail' type fittings ( long ago I bought two of 555627 leg kits but i just found out they only fit a model 500). Shopsmith will sell me ONE tube fitting for $47.43. No thanks. It looks like the notched end would fit the 510/520 table...

Re: Parts for "new" 1987 510
Take a look at this on Shopsmithereens on Facebook from Geoffrey Baker. https://www.facebook.com/groups/1121726342023066/?mibextid=oMANbw Well, this will get you to Facebook but not the specific post. :( More for me to learn about facebook I guess. :o . I have a set of the telescoping legs but bendi...

Re: It's triplets
Ahhh, I did assume you had a double tilt table with the power pro double tilt unit.

Re: It's triplets
What if you come up with another 510/520 carriage, you’ve already got a double tilt table you could swap around.

Re: It's triplets
viewtopic.php?t=22414 Here’s an idea I had for a 10ER double tilt but I never followed through and built it. I like the one I posted above better for more compact storage when it’s tilted left.
