Re: Elusive motor pulley cover

I don't know if this will bring you there or not, it should if you are logged in and a group member. https://www.facebook.com/groups/Shopsmith10ER/permalink/611740503065685 Doug Smith sent me the file through messenger and said I could share it here, but I can't upload .stl files. He may add it to t...

Re: Elusive motor pulley cover

Here is the result of the 3D modeling effort based off the photos and measurements. This has now been made into a 3D printable file (can't be uploaded here directly). The creator has added some reinforcement because of the materials available for printing.

Elusive motor pulley cover

It's been a while since I posted here. Life is only getting more hectic with a job change in 2018, a 1 year old at home, and another on the way. However, I haven't let the SS passion die, and have a sweet spot for 10ERs since that was what I started with for my first restoration. I think I have 5 ER...

Re: RE: Re: Heads Up - Bargain 'available'

A 10E or 10ER for sale in AZ, but price is too high. https://phoenix.craigslist.org/cph/tls/d/laveen-shopsmith/6926390481.html Looks like a pretty early one with that quill return spring cover and the older quill stop collar. Not worth anywhere near that price though. Sent from my Moto Z3 Play usin...

Re: Heads Up - Bargain 'available'

This seems like a really good deal for anyone in the Denver area. Considering what the upgraded guard itself goes for, I'd snatch this up if I were close. https://www.ebay.com/itm/Shopsmith-Professional-Jointer-Local-Pickup-Parker-Denver-CO/264294100004?hash=item3d8927ec24%3Ag%3AJEYAAOSwbg5cvd70&...

It's intent is to eliminate such posts elsewhere. We need to be careful to not use this as a 'Trading post' since that is specifically a denied use of this forum. To be blunt, all posts must not be of anything the poster has a financial interest in. Sorry folks--should I not have listed my 10ER her...

Re: RE: Re: Heads Up - Bargain 'available'

An interesting item for sale north of Seattle WA. A Mark 5 Greenie with a Magna 4" Belt Sander Model 745. It was part of the Magna Line Tools. https://seattle.craigslist.org/see/tls/d/seattle-shop-smith-mark-5/6860285563.html 745.jpg This listing would be more than double that price anywhere w...

The tower is a tilt over Rohn antenna tower that I had hopes of getting fixed wireless internet on. I can get it to 70' with the parts I have, but they told me I need to be 90' up. [emoji26]

Re: RE: Re: Informal Poll - Size of your Shop and how many Shopsmiths?

As I mentioned previously, my shop is still in progress so I'm stuck using the lathe in the basement until the snow clears. Here's my before and after though. The pic with the lean-to looking shed was when we first moved in. Other pic is current, with the free shed off Facebook marketplace, which w...
