Re: Woodpeckers Freehand guard and me

The 96mm hole spacing means the diagonal of the holes is 135.76 to 2 decimal places so if I wanted to put the fence at a 45 degree angle to the normal of the table I need the that hole spacing. Each of those holes are off my 5mm and I'm not sure how or if I should try to fix this. I don't have a par...

Re: Woodpeckers Freehand guard and me

I started working on my next fence option today. I have one of the old Incra fences and it doesn't get much use anymore so I thought I would bring it out of retirement and give it an active role on this router table. Of course the SO works to do such things and since I have it I used it to cut out t...

Re: Woodpeckers Freehand guard and me

With the clear guard in place it will allow 1-1/2". I have not physically check that but I expect it to be very close to that. I have since moved in to lathe work and have not had a chance to test the dust collection. I plan to stop at Rockler soon and will see if they have some sort of an adap...

Re: Turning project question for you or you or even you

Not quite a year since I started this tread. And no I didn't get them done way back when. They just got put in a box and other things happened. Now they are back on my active list. I turned two of the handles have the third chucked up for tomorrow, I hope. Still a ways from being done but closer. gt...

Re: A little help here ID animal?

What ever the opossum found to eat last night was chewy. That should eliminate worms and I would think most small insects. Also what ever it is doesn't require digging.......and it didn't seem to leave anything much for the raccoon who passed my hours later. https://youtu.be/eW1HvdoAkNc You don't th...

Woodpeckers Freehand guard and me

I've recently posted some threads on my compact router/sander table and most recent actually used the router table for a project. It has been clear to me that I need to have two things figured out before going too much farther on this idea. One was a bit guard and the other some better dust collecti...

Re: A little help here ID animal?

I thought I posted another video last night but it is not here. I guess I must have forgot to submit???? The night following the raccoon visit an opossum visited and like the raccoon appeared to be searching out food. It also appeared it found something just out of the frame and ate it. Interesting ...

Re: A little help here ID animal?

One of the raccoons returned and seem to be looking for food. It might have found something but what? Insects, worms, anyway it spent a few minutes looking about. This is a composite of 6 video clips and as such is about 2 minutes long. If you have any idea what it was looking for or possible findin...

Re: Collet holder

Well trying to get the holder out of the drawer was not all that easy. True that most of the time I will not be taking the holder out but for when I do want to it was time to make an addition. I've also not shown the new router table addition set up and ready to use on my MFT shopsmith extension tab...

Re: Collet holder

This is subject to change but for now it is the 9/16 and the 11/16. At $19 each they almost make me wonder how good the other online collets might be for what I use them for. You can get a whole set of 26 pieces for about $80 and while that would have a over lap of 5 sizes it still comes out pretty ...
