Molder Head Knives old/new
I am a Shopsmith novice, a babe. the following is a quote from Shopsmith. "Note: Molder heads purchased prior to September 2011 require the "older-style" molding knives. Recent molder heads use the "new-style" molding knives." Not sure whether I have the older style, th...

Shaper/Dado Collars/Spacers???
I have an assortment of what I am referring to as spacers and or collars based on my limited knowledge and information that I've been able to glean from Ebay sellers of Shopsmith items and information on this forum. Are the collars/spacers interchangeable for dado and shaper operations? Can they be ...

Re: Broken Lever Lock - 520 fence
I just installed the lower lever. I detected movement of the fence so I incrementally tightened the nut until I eliminated the movement of the fence.

Re: Broken Lever Lock - 520 fence
Ok, not sure how to make that adjustment but I will take a look at it. I used some JB Weld to mend the broken lever and it looks fine. Shopsmith is taking orders but not mailing anything from its warehouse.

Broken Lever Lock - 520 fence
I don't know how old the fence is since I bought it on the secondary market. Has anyone else experienced this type of metal fatigue? I was locking the fence in place when the piece just broke off. I will order a replacement part from Shopsmith soon.

Re: Sanding Drum Operations
Ok, that makes sense to me. Am I correct in saying that the only difference between the two packages is the table insert? Thanks in advance

Sanding Drum Operations
I acquired a M500 not 505, 510 or 520 just for clarification. It came with a drum sander and various paper. After looking on Shopsmith's website, I see that there is a drum sanding package for the M500 and one for the other models. What is the difference between the two and what prevents a user from...
