Re: Name that Jig...

I would say the leftmost jig is for making tenons on board ends at 90 degrees (though it could be a little longer for more support on the fence) . Which was later replaced with the larger variable angle tenon jig in the last pic.

Re: 1st Box attempt

Hah- the walnut square corners came about when I accidently routed away the lip that holds the cover in place in said corners :) I wanted to have half lap miters on that lip all the way around but I sequenced it wrong so I had to hide it with something ! You can kind of see it here in this earlier s...

Thank you - I will definitely be attempting this again with what I learned.

Sorry Farmer for your loss, My wife works in a long term care facility for dementia/Alzheimer's patients. One of the things she learned there was that when a patient starts acting in a completely different way than is their "normal" behavior, the first thing to check is for UTI. 9 times ou...

Re: Shopsmith Powerpro headstock squealing

I would rebalance the tension now that it is working again, and put an order in from some backup belts.

Re: Used Power Pro Headstock

My 2nd owner DIY PowerPro suffered a power supply/control board failure in the depths of the pandemic.

This took about 6 months to finally get sorted and back to me.

The original Powerpro upgrade took place in 2013 and prior to me purchasing it-went back to the factory for factory tuneup in 2018.

Re: my bad jointer technique?

I'm curious if others have used the standard fence and the extension fence Nick shows in this video. I've never really liked the little standard fence on mine, it feels like when you get near the end of the fence I am able to "bend" the fence away from the table surface slightly. Does the ...
