"Clickity" sound determined
Pulled the motor apart last night and found the source of the noise. The back bearing relieved itself of all its grease and the sound was coming from the dry ball bearings. When I restored mine I tried many different ways. The ones that was the most effective was. Sandblasting, by far the easiest and quickest but if you don't have access to a good one then it wont work out for you. Don't waste time or money on Harbor Freight hand held blasters. Yes the motor operates. I turned it on ONLY for a split second since the power cord was in such poor condition. I am going to have to listen and feel a little closer after work. What's the normal motor sound when rotating output shaft by hand?

the nylon drive can easily be removed with two screwdrivers (one on each side) and pop it off. it has a spring type retainer. then pop it back on when ready. i have pressed several sets of bearings on in my machinst type vise using sockets the proper size. never press on the balls of the bearing or...

Painted parts look GREAT!! Can't wait to get mine done. I disassembled mine this past week. Picked it up last weekend. The Verde Green looks blueish in the photo. Did the color reproduce similar to the color on the spray cans cap? Did use use regular paint stripper on your part before painting? p.s....
