Designing an accessory shadow board/tool storage
Is there an easy design for laying out the tools and accessories for the Shopsmith?
I looked at a lot of posting but could not find much information on how you all display or store your gear.
I have a wall with peg board but would like idea's on how best to store for ease of use if possible.

Confused after viewing the DVD's
I purchased both the Volume 1 and 2 of Nick Engler's Mark V Essentials as well as Volume 1 and 2 of Maintaining and Repairing. I also purchased the Rick Davis Shopsmith Journal Repair and Alignment DVD. I watched all DVD's today and found Nick recommends using Bee's wax as a lubricant and Rick Davis...

You should be able to use the 24 inch fiberglass as it is made for 24 inch centers. You will have to add something like paneling on the shop side to keep it from sagging over time. When I did mine I used 6 inch thick batts 24 wide and then I put up 1/2 foil faced 4 X 8 sheets of foam on the ceiling...

About the Shopsmith planer - folks that have on really like it , but for less than half the price you can buy a DeWalt 735 thickness planer. There are (as far as I can discern) three major differences between the two machines. Thank you for the advice also. I was considering the DeWalt series as I ...

That siren you hear? Yep, that's the cops coming to arrest you for grand theft! Seriously, congrats on a great deal -- your patience paid off big time. I spent a similar amount of time waiting for a good deal on a used SS Pro Planer -- the stand-alone version -- and I've been delighted with it. Buc...

What kind of insulation do you use in the rafters of your shop?
Hi, I am new to this forum, just purchased my first Shopsmith last month. I also have a stand alone barn/garage that I will use for my shop once I get the proper electrical. I currently have one 15amp line that runs the shopsmith but nothing else. What I am wondering, I have looked at a few other po...

New 2004 Shopsmith 520 owner
I have been watching and looking for a shopsmith for about a year and last month found what I consider a good deal here in Florida. I found a 2004 520 with bandsaw, belt sander, dust collector and jointer along with books and tools for $600 It has all attachments except for the upper saw guard. I th...
