Nick,

I enjoyed the graphic you posted. Reible, if you would want to join me, I am right on the way. If you get as far as my place, since I'm only 5 mi.off of U.S. 30 and right on the way to Dayton. Any other takers?

Never let it be said that I backed away from a challenge. But other than myself, I do not know any other Shopsmith owners who live in my area. I suppose we're all making sawdust. I did put out a request a few days ago to see if there was anyone on the forum that would be interested. There were a few...

Model Railroaders have the National Model Railroaders Association, there are clubs devoted to cars (Hudsons, Deusenbergs, Corvettes, etc.), motorcycles like the Gold-Wingers, countless garden clubs, etc. I could envision an annual convention of owners once the group is large enough...

I feel tied enough to a computer during the day with my work. However, I do have an idea: how about getting a few owners together and put on a "team demonstration. This is how it would work: one would show the table saw mode, another set up in drill press mode, another in horizontal bring, etc....

Heat works work But for some reason I always ended up tearing off a portin of the paper. When that happens I like to use "Goo Gone". It does a really fine job of getting the residue off of the disk. An added benefit is the citrus smell.

Bruce, When I sent the blade out to be sharpened I had a new blade installed in order to keep working. I took a piece of scrap 2x4 about 36 " long and ripped it down the middle and also cut off an end. When the resharpened blade was returned to me I did the same thing in order to compare the di...

Interest in a local group

Just a couple of questions: Does anyone know of a club devoted to Shopsmith owners located around where I live (Northeast Indiana)? And if there isn't one, would anyone be interested in forming one along with me?

I really have enjoyed reading and participating in this discussion. I do not believe there are any people more devoted to their machines than Shopsmith owners! I love the product and the concept of having a machine that truly "does it all". I have owned other table saws over the years and ...

Little Wizard II metal detecter

Good morning- Last night I was ripping some old lumber for pen-making from an old gym floor. I had pulled, I thought all of the old nails out of the wood. I had recently purchased the above item and, as a precaution was running it over the different pieces before running it through the table saw to ...
