Speed control sheave bearing

How do remove and reinstall the button bearing in the speed control sheave? Left to my own thoughts I would drive it out and tap or press one in.
Also, how do most people press on new drive sleeve bearings?

Thanks for any info.

The accessories do not come with anything to store them on. They sell the stand separately or you can easily fabricate one.

Definitely not going to part it out. I'll probably throw in a new idler shaft and drive shaft bearings (or shaft), maybe a new two bearing quill. The sheaves all seem to move back and forth easily.... Probably dedicate it to the sander or bandsaw.... So many decisions!

Carter Bandsaw Stabilizer

I was at the New England Woodworkers Show this past weekend and purchased a Carter Band Saw Stabilizer. I am hoping that they are half as good as the demonstration! Oh, and across from the Carter booth was the Shopsmith booth. Great demo on the Mark vII. :) Had not planned to buy one, but the tool g...

I think smooth running would be a better description. Mine makes a good deal of noise, but was not what I would describe as obnoxiously loud, that is until a bearing started to scream last month.

Question on set up- Incra I Box Jig

I just received an Incra I Box Jig, looks like it is well made. In the setup instructions the instructions say to set it up depending on if the saw is left or right tilt. Well, I'm guessing that a Shopsmith is neither. Any recomendations?

When and how to do routine maintenance?

I have had my 1982 vintage Mark V for a few years and have done nothing to it. Have not used it a lot, but some. That is about to change now. What internal maintenance should I perform, and how often?
Thanks for any advice.
