When shutting down a PC for the night. Is it better to put it to "sleep", "hibernate/stand by" or "shut off"? I heard you should not use the power button to turn off the PC. Only if you have to reboot it. But then again isn't there a reboot button? Power down only afte...

IF steel, try electrolysis like ya did the chuck. Maybe the reaction will clean the innards. Move the pins to one side before hand. Evaporust might also work.

Post processing, wd40/wax after cleaning the blox off it.
