It slides with on the wheel with not a lot of pressure. Will try the switch/reversal. Thx JPG.

Re: Tire wants to walk off bandsaw wheel

No. Have not measured. Put tire on this spring and haven't hardly used the saw due to table problems. I've resawed about 75bf is about all.

Re: Tire wants to walk off bandsaw wheel

That is what is happening. I loosen the blade and slide the tire to the right side of the wheel and then re tighten the blade and then run the saw and after a few minutes it has somehow moved the tire to the left side of the wheel. Maybe too tightened on the blade? Have it on the 1/2" mark on t...

Re: Tire wants to walk off bandsaw wheel

Finally figured how to post the pictures. This is after I loosened blade and moved the tire to the right side of the wheel then retightened and ran on slow for a few minutes doing some light sawing. I'm a bit spooked that it moved from the right to left side and not sure if it would just keep going ...

Re: Tire wants to walk off bandsaw wheel

Working on the pictures. I followed the manual checking things out and it seems pretty dialed in and cuts straight with very smooth.

Re: Tire wants to walk off bandsaw wheel

Actually the tires seem too narrow. There's about 1/4 gap between the curb and edge of tire. When I increased the speed it was jumping the curb. Luckily I saw it and stopped the saw. These came from SS and I put them on this spring and haven't used the saw hardly at all. The saw has been somewhat of...

Tire wants to walk off bandsaw wheel

Getting my new table and blade dialed in on my bandsaw and noticed that the orange tire wants to start walking off the wheel. Woodslicer 1/2 inch almost new. Everything is square and works beautifully but I'm concerned the tire is headed off the wheel. I'm running at slow and just at the 1/2 inch ti...

Re: New bandsaw table not level

Once I get it totally mounted I'll get some pictures. I can tell there no sagging from corner to corner like my first table.
If I hadn't lost the little slim washers between the trunions and the table I'd have it mounted now. Have to go on a search expedition to find them.

Re: New bandsaw table not level

It arrived and is flat and the nice folks at SS measured it and taped off each direction with notes on the tape how flat it was. Even signed off and dated. I measured it and all is well. Now to mount and double ck but it seems it should be fine. Just to double ck my old one I put my straight edge on...
