Re: Maintenance and lubing

I remember reading in an older post, I believe it was Bill Mayo, mentioned that some of the early sheaves didn't have oil holes.

Re: Dado Blade Instructions

Here's a photo of how mine is configured. It may be wrong but does a great job. I was always told to never stack them together with the same tooth pattern side by side so my cutters are lined up with the rakers.

Re: Dado Blade Instructions

If they mentioned tooth breakage they were probably talking about dados with carbide cutters. The Shopsmith dado set would be very difficult to break a tooth on. If you look at the photo of Brenda's Freud dado set carbide cutters you can see why slippage could cause breakage.

Re: Parts for gilmer clutch?

There is a thread on here somewhere where someone was able to successfully put one back together to achieve the proper torque by changing up the arrangement of the washers. I will try to search for it later.

Re: YIKES!!

Here in Ohio the new gas taxes kicked in on July 1. An additional $.10 on regular gas and $.19 on diesel. Diesel is still a little higher than regular here.

Re: Customer Support

I agree, Dennis. Try calling Delta or Craftsman to get help on an issue with a table saw or drill press. Unless you are ordering parts, you will be wasting your time, assuming you can still get parts.
