Re: Box edges-need some suggestions.
Oh that mild 45 chamfer is a nice look ! Thanks for the visual br549 ! I'm sure i can do the long edge chamfers pretty easily, but are the short edge (vertical) chamfers cut by hand ? Someone asked about the dimensions..i forget exactly at the moment but it is near 200 cu in. I think the interior di...

Box edges-need some suggestions.
So I'm working on this burial ashes box for somebody. General shape/design is done but I keep looking at the top/base (light colored hard maple) and thinking I need to do something to those very square edges. I go back and forth between leaving it square as is, or softening either the horizontal edg...

Re: shop built crosscut sled for ShopSmith
Looks really nice. How thick is the base and are you concerned that it will limit your cut depth when using the sled?

Re: New Generation 2 PowerPro Headstock Touchscreen
Can't really see anything on that zoomed in picture-what are all those functions? What I don't see is a separate Run"/ "Stop" type button on like on the PowerPro 1.0 I already think these should be more prominent. If they are completely missing in 2.0..its a "no" for me. May...

I like Mikes assessment.
Hard to tell where a youtuber ends, and a real person begins but I think Mike falls clearly on the "real person" side of this one.

Re: Depth Indicator
I think thats right, its atleast how I use mine. I don't 100% trust that in "free to rotate" mode, it accurately represents plunge depth...so i always

This dont feel right..
Trying to think of a way to clean out those corners in a circular way. I would use the 2x4 backstop to limit how far I could push the "cross" into the bit, and then the right 2x4 as a guide to run along. It just feels like -pardon the pun - all hell's gonna break loose though. Having a day...

Re: Question why do you want to know the RPM of your Headstock
Having started with powerPro, I came in not knowing any speed settings needed for each SPT. The sticker label listing the recommended RPMs was great back then when I hadnt internalized the values. The reported RPM on the LCD display in agreement with the label confirmed for me I had setup correctly ...
