You can order a miter bar from Shopsmith and just swap the bars. Or you could watch eBay and pick up a use Shopsmith miter bar.
I have been thinking about getting one. I also been watching eBay & Facebook market place to see if somebody parting with of Shopsmith versions.

Well I bought it from my boss. He no longer wanted a 48’ in the fleet because we couldn’t get the bale count like we do with the 53’. I work for a hay and straw broker, we ship over a million bales out on Long Island. I bought it to put lawn tractors, push mowers, snowmobile, snowblowers, auto parts...

My boss bought a 10ER and it just sits in the barn. I have ask him about it for the same reason what you did with yours. He say he would part with but we haven’t talk any further but it. I’m a little tight on room right now

Thanks Dennis. Thanks JPG for info on the missing crank handle. You had me confused for a minute on manual feed crank handle. I think you meant table height not manual feed of the current planer.
