Re: Request for a sticky thread
User JPG who has posted many things here and who wrote the top one of the two Sticky Threads in Maintenance and Repair I suspect would know when he said this one belonged even above his. Now that is saying something! On the day that Thread first posted he wrote in the first reply to the post https:/...

Re: Buying a Used Shopsmith Revisited
Everett have you ever thought of creating a large illustrated parts drawing for a Mark VII like you did for the other Mark V? I have been looking at one a buddy's uncle has that I have seen run. I find some things on here that I think can help, but I am not sure I want to go forward without a good b...

Re: Buying a Used Shopsmith Revisited
Lol that one is 10 minutes from my work, but can't imagine a third in my garage, but even for a short bandsaw it would be cool. I have enough tools to restore at the moment... Still 80 bucks... Re: Buying a Used Shopsmith Revisited
Thanks everyone. It doesn't sound like a starter machine for me. I have some leave coming, so I may just plan a cross country trip and try to find some Craigslist finds along the way and see what I can find. I will keep hanging out here and reading the forums. There is so much stuff here it can be h...

Re: Buying a Used Shopsmith Revisited
I have been looking for a while and have studied the pdf made on buying a used unit and have been looking for one nearby in a price range I can afford. I found one for sale about 80 miles away but the guy says it is a Mark II made for Montgomery Ward. The pdf said if I am reading it right that this ...

What parts of country are best value in used Mark V
What parts of country are best value in used Mark V's found? Mickyd says he often picks them up for about 100 in Florida. I have been all over Craigslist looking for them in Oklahoma and Texas and those deals aren't to be found. I like driving well enough, and it is doable to save several hundred do...

Re: Buying a Used Shopsmith Revisited
I added photos and added additional annotations and content to an original Text-Only document titled Buying A Used Shopsmith that I suspect was written by Nick Engler, though no author was listed. I hope some find it of use. Update: I had the wrong illustration reference # & description for the...
