Re: New to me belt sander and stand
Can't find the reference posts, but if I recall correctly people have recommended. Blow compressed air under the edge of the sleeve while pulling onto the drum. Roll one side back over the other, apply glue and roll back, repeat on the other side.

Re: What happened to the Gas Spring Table Raiser?
I made one for my 10ER dedicated drill press, and use it all the time. Not surprisingly Shopsmith didn't make one to fit the 10's, but it wasn't difficult to fabricate my own mounting brackets.

Re: SC Johnson Paste Wax
I didn't get it hot enough to boil the water, and took it off burner (electric) once the wax had mostly melted. Heating in a water bath just makes it easier to not overheat the wax (can't get over 212 deg) My sense of smell is not very acute, I don't find the smell of the solvent unpleasant, but I a...

Re: SC Johnson Paste Wax
I have had to reconstitute my can of TreWax a couple of times, dropped the can during cold weather and the wax shattered. To avoid the risk of over heating, and fire, I put the can in a pot with an inch or so of water in it, and heated it on the stove over with a fairly low heat.

Re: 10e Pricing
How over priced is this 10e? Was thinking about picking up something like this. https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/item/1207218600203009/ At the current $300 it's getting into the ballpark. I don't see the extension table, unless it is the board against the wall next to the steps, nor a 12" ...

Re: 10er table and table assembly
The most economical way to get parts for a 10ER is to locate one locally. It is usually cheaper to find a complete unit than to buy parts separately, and you will get a bunch of bonus parts as well. It can be handy to have multiple arbors, sanding disks, drill chucks, etc.

Hogwinslow sells bearings.

Skip Campbell doesn't list bearings but does have other parts, and lots of good information.

Re: johnson dc motor and board help getting it to run
I have not done a conversion yet, but there is a Facebook group that focuses on converting Shopsmiths to run on salvaged treadmill motors.
