The wandering you are describing is what Shopsmith and most of us call “drift”. Despite what a lot of videos will tell you, the Shopsmith bandsaw is going to drift, so the secret is to adjust the fence to accommodate the drift. I do appreciate the support. I’m thinking that as we share Youtube videos that we probably need to type in the description to make the topics searchable. Investors notice that on the Youtube feed that unless you scroll though them all most are not searchable. Scott

There isn’t really an easy way, but the way to remove the build-up is to remove the headstock and the quill (because there’s a build-up there as well) and clean the headstock casting holes with a rag and paint thinner.

Just to follow-up on the EZtension gauge video, I continue to work with the manufacturer and they are sending me a new setting tool that should be calibrated for use with the Shopsmith bandsaw. I’ll be sure to report back. Scott
