Re: Stand motor clicking
The clicking stops if I put inward pressure on the spindle. Wonder if it something slid forward and it's hitting the front case. Might have to attempt to take it apart. Should be interesting... There is nothing in a motor that rotates that can come loose and hit the case and still allow the motor t...

Re: Stand motor clicking
Does not sound a bearing, they are usually constant, Is the clicking relative to motor speed? When turning by hand is the click just once per revolution? I took the motor off the stand and its a click every revolution. It has nothing to do with the belt or tool. A bearing may or may not click every...

Re: Time to organize the shop!
John I read that in there protocol. Would not want a misplaced/missing letter and a nuke goes off. That would never happen. Re: Hanging A Slow Boat To Nowhere
Al, I understand your issue with wanting to put the canoe over the stair well. I think everyone is over thinking this. Two barn door rails attached to the ceiling, barn door hanger skates with ratchet pulleys attached. What ever length of track you need and whatever track width to clear the light. ...

Re: Time to organize the shop!
I don't think I'm the only one guilty of this. No, this is not my main work bench, that one is worse! First, you need to have a place for everything. Second and most important, you need to have the discipline to put things away when you are done with them. I don't wait until the end of the shop tim...

Re: Hanging A Slow Boat To Nowhere
That's pretty much what I was thinking of for the wheels/guides. So IIUC, the wheelbase would be about 2.5 feet, and the wheel "track" width would be about 8 feet? Wheelbase_and_Track.png Yes; although I am also contemplating 6 foot spacing between the legs/tracks. Not sure which (6' vs. ...
