Re: Mighty-Mite 4 in. Table Saw

I have a Proxxon Chop and Miter saw. Not sure why, but I do! I primarily use it to trim pen blanks and pen tubes. Thought about getting rid of it many times, but it is so small and well built!

Re: Some sad news...

I was in my local Woodcraft yesterday and they had several Porter Cable routers on the shelf. If my wife was not with me, at least one would have made it to the car! Sigh....

Dusty, I have had my V120 set up with the safety grip for a few years. It is great. You will enjoy the simple accuracy of the unit.

Re: Some sad news...

That is sad. I love my Porter Cable “big” router. Has that solid feel, classic whine. I think I’ll look for a new/used one for a spare.

Re: Dust collection

After taking off my original felt filter bag I saw and remembered why a canister adaptation will not be practical, regardless of air flow. The blower motor housing takes up a third or more of the space in the filter bag. You would have to make a very large adaptor to mount the canister filter on. Th...

Dust collection

I have a Harbor Freight 2hp collector with the Wynn’s conversion filter and it works well. Has anybody tried to modify the dc3300 in a similar way? I have been pleasantly surprised that is has been adequate for use on my Sawstop 3hp saw and would like to improve it if I can.

Re: POSSIBLEL HACK

Some 'observations' regarding this 'event'. Hopefully they will help a future victim. The hacking apparently was done to Yahoo's stuff not my computer. The perp first redirected all incoming e-mail to archive which prevented me from receiving ANY e-mails. A good thing since I was able to retrieve t...

Re: Molding Knives Case

Really nice. I take it you 3d printed the copies of the knives? Trying to figure something out for mine. I drew out the profiles for each cutter and then extruded them 1.588mm above the lid. Then I pause the print and switch the black filament to the white filament for the color change. Ah ha! Sill...
