Navycop I would not suggest using the SS live center for pen turning. The pen turning mandrel manufacturers suggest using a live center with a 60 degree point for the mandrels. That is one incredible job!!! Do you ever plan on getting it dirty? How about an uograde to a 520? All I think you would have to do is paint the table carriage green and you will have the only greenie 520.
