Looking for Ideas for Storing Shopsmith Tables?
I am looking for ideas on how to store my Shopsmith tables. This includes the main table, 2 fixed tables and 2 floating tables. Also telescoping legs. Specifically I am looking to hang these items on a wall. No use reinventing the wheel! A sketch with dimensions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks ...

Need Advice Turning a 3 1/2 " Mortise
I am turning a 6"x6" wood cylinder between centers. I need to turn a 3 1/2" diameter x 1/2" deep mortise in one end. The mortise will need to have straight walls and a flat bottom. Due to the width of the headstock and tailstock I cannot get a turning chisel to go into the cylind...

Re: Extension Table Switch from Right Hand Side to the Left Hand Side
Thanks for everyone's thoughts and ideas. I should have been more specific in my original message that I already have a right sided table. I found a right sided table on eBay that was the right price. Which I thought I could easily convert to a left sided table. I ended up taking my new to me right ...

Extension Table Switch from Right Hand Side to the Left Hand Side
I have an extension table I would like to switch from the right hand side to the left hand side. Has anyone else done this? If so, or if you have any ideas on how to move the 1 set of the 2 table studs into the empty holes I would appreciate them. I am guessing I will have to cut new threads into th...

ProPlaner Setup Question
ProPlaner Manual: Page 10, Planer Setup, 6. Attach the V-belt...."The belt should have approximately 1/2 inch deflection on each side." This seems like i would need a couple of more hands to be able to take this measurement. Rather than this method, can I put a straight edge on one side an...

Shopsmith gouge #555027
About a week ago i picked up a Shopsmith gouge #55027 at a second hand store. The metal was quite rusty and pitted, the wood handle is sound and it was only $2. I soaked the metal in a combination of white vinegar and salt. Twelve hours later the metal cleaned up nicely. I only had to use a Scotch b...
