Re: Three-leg high chair / stool

And we're pretty much done, letting the oils and waxes air out a bit. Here was the top-layer getting glued on, and the whole thing being checked for height. The clamps weighed more than the stool! Re: Three-leg high chair / stool

Actually, I used the world's best friction-pivot bevel gauge. That is, the vintage 2007 MITE-R-GAGE that I bought from Shopsmith back in the day :) :)

Re: Waste Not, Want Not; with that Hammered Brown Paint

Thanks!

I masked and added a wee bit of hammered paint so that the "steering wheel spokes" don't get confused with the "hands".

Re: anodizing aluminum

This is pretty cool reading!
My nephew has a side-hustle making niche automotive aftermarket parts. I think they use a lot of anodizing. Luckily, his catalog doesn't address my car, or I'd be an addicted buyer for these shiny, red things.

Many thanks!

The cabinet was a project about 5 years ago. Those doors are bookmatched Ash.

Best Regards,
Chris

Re: Working up a custom Flag Case

I've been able to finish recently. My 2022 guitar project had some "kit" mahogany thin planks that I had set aside in favor of my own walnut. This wood is now employed for a case-back: IMG_6938.jpeg IMG_6939.jpeg Here's some shots of the fully assembled tribute. This flag is from my Dad's ...
