I have a bench cut down with just a 500 carriage and table on it. I use it for outfeed support and SPT tool storage. You could easily mount the OPR on it, I guess. Don't have one so I haven't tried. Tube Lengths
The way tubes are 52" and the bench tubes are 52-3/4" long. Today both tubes are 1-3/4" diameter. On the early machines, the bench tubes were 1-7/8" diameter. Hope this helps.

Two Bearing Quill
Other then headstock serial number, is there a way to examine the quill and determine whether it is a two bearing or single bearing quill?
