Mark, I've made an adapter that uses the headrest (ponytail) from a MkV, instead of the ER (horseshoe) headrest. I don't mind at all. I am curious myself. I clicked on the link on easterngray's post and found it interesting that the family I bought it from lived within 3 miles of the Shopsmith inventor (I am only 1 1/2 miles away) so it is entirely possible that this machine is not a regular edition.
