Re: US Government is About to Change Table Saws FOREVER!

I say this thread is valid, the subject matter is of concern, or should be, for every woodworker.
The information is timely and pertinent, therefore I would like to know exactly what is objectionable to some.

Re: Making a Lie-Nielsen Plane From Start to Finish

The points about scrap-parts etc. remind me: My Dad many years ago had dealings with a gent in Mt. Carmel, Illinois, which in those days had a Snap-On Tools foundry. This gent's job including taking any defective wrenches to a site where they were buried in concrete! Wouldn't a foundry just melt do...

Re: Making a Lie-Nielsen Plane From Start to Finish

Great video! But what I would like to see is the things not shown, like how they fix the dropped part, part that is out of tolerance, the oops part. I would also feel better if so many of the polishing steps were not done by humans but rather machines. Precision in handcrafted is only as good as the...

Re: Income Taxes - 2023

What I find interesting is for the last 10 or so years I have gotten barraged with TurboTax and HRBlock mail ads. Usually use this code for a $10 off tax product type of ad.
However this year nothing! Either their business is really good or really bad can't figure out which.

Re: Large sheet material

My experience of having big box cut sheets has always been a disaster, between misalignment, unknowledgable operators and terrible tear out I never have it done anymore. I often crosscut sheets using my tailgate and a circular saw in the big box parking lot. Also have a 2” 4x8 sheet of foam I put on...

Re: US Government is About to Change Table Saws FOREVER!

Frankly I think the presently patented detection system should be reexamined. I think the patent was flawed. The method used is like being able to patent a door opening as method of entry detection. It is the nature of electronics that this detection method is using not an invention. In my opinion t...

Re: Why the name “Mark”?

The original name was intended to be bark as in wood bark but the guy that phoned in orders for the stencils had a lisp hence “mark” was born. 😂

Re: DeWalt Radial Arm Saw vs Shopsmith

I really do not care what others say I believe a blade you can see at all times is safer than a blade you can not always see. If you see it you can keep your hands out of it path. If you can not see it there is a chance you can put your hands in danger. Now I am sure people will disagree citing kick...

Chris Phelps. Nice shop! Looks like you spend your money on smartly and only on what is important not what other people say. Well done sir! My hat is off to you.
