Re: How to lubricate when there are no holes for lubrication.
SplintersNmeoveralls, Good information from the posts already made on how to lubricate a Shopsmith Mark 5/V. This may not apply to Shopsmith Clones. As David said the Sheaves on both the Motor Shaft and Idler Shaft can be lubricated without having the holes to put the oil directly into. Not the most...

Re: Shopsmith Miter Pro
BillS2024, Welcome to the Shopsmith Forum. As JPG said, Yes. It slides in the Miter slot on the Table and ALL Mark models have the same size Miter slot. The difference in the Miter slot is later models of the Mark V (510/505 & 520) plus the new Mark 7 and Mark 4 have the same larger Main Table w...

Re: Income Taxes - 2023
Started entering tax information yesterday after getting a new laptop Sunday and setting it up. My old laptop was beginning to have "problems" that I didn't want complicating doing my taxes and other computer work. One extra bit of work this year besides moving and buying/selling houses is...

Re: Share your Magna memorabilia!
John,
Thanks for the knob comparison. Just looking at it alone on the Miter it is hard to tell the size. Seeing the knobs next to each other really shows the difference. Maybe they used a different knob to make it stand out from the Shopsmith Mark Tool's Miters.

Re: Heads Up - Bargain 'available'
Sorry I missed seeing it. I hope it went to a good home.
Free can be but isn't always a good price. I received a free Greenie and spent $500 to restore it to like new. That was still worth it to me as I enjoyed restoring it.

Re: Share your Magna memorabilia!
In the pictures I have of the 9" Bench Saw showing the Miter it has that same knob that looks like the Bandsaw cover knob. If I hadn't seen that I would wonder if someone replaced the knob at some point.

Re: Serial number database of non-SPT Magna-Line tools?
I have pictures of a Magna Line Model 735 12-1/2" Jigsaw. It has an interesting serial number of 75A - 7. Makes me wonder how that serial numbering system went compared to your Bench Saw's serial number fitting in a more traditional serial number sequence like the other Magna/Shopsmith Tools pr...
