Re: Has anyone built a DC3300 dust collection system?

I'm very careful to only use my DC3300 connected to my SS or one of my SPTs ports, if it's on the floor or general shop clean-up, I use my canister Shop Vac. I think that chips and other objects that one can pick up can be very detrimental to the DC3300. As for using it to drive a piped dust collect...

Re: SawSmith 2000

I don't know of a source but I purchased a spare motor off eBay a few years ago as a back-up... There is no manufacturer's name listed, only a model number, C48KS-325. It is listed as 1 1/4 Hp.

Not a Shopsmith part... Maybe a component of a portable vise similar to a Z-vise. I have one and know it's not from that model. Good luck with your SS!

Its the Sawsmith 2000 Deluxe model (555580) with the 49" rails and Excalibur Fence... They don't come up too often but I wouldn't go over $300-$350 for it. SS sold off their repair parts stock several years ago, about the only thing you can still get is the manual. I picked up a spare motor off...

It has way, way more capabilities than my meager abilities can tax. There is a learning curve to it though and their forum members are an incredible source of knowledge. :)

I run a Woodworker II with the 1 1/4" bore on my Sawsmith 2000 and it does an outstanding job. :)
