Re: 10ER for general tablesaw/bandsaw

Basically HP of the motor and table size is how you should compare what you have with the 10ER. My guess is that you will be better with the 10ER.It has a lot more functions.

Re: How many use stand alone machines too?

I currently have a SS with BS, Jointer, Bosch Chop Saw, Dewalt Plainer. I have only had the SS for 6 months. Still thinking about getting a dedicated TS. Its not about the ability of the SS TS< its more about the frustration changing between TS and other functions. I can see why some of you have mo...

Re: PowerPro received

My PowerPro that I ordered August 6th finally came the other day. I have removed my original headstock and installed the caster upgrade that I got a while back. Now, to get the PowerPro installed. Man it's heavy. I'm thinking I had better wait a couple of days for my son to drop by and help me get ...

Re: How many use stand alone machines too?

When I built my 30' X 40' dedicated shop 5 years ago I bought a Powermatic PM2000 table saw. I have a stand alone Powermatic 6" jointer, Powermatic 14" band saw, SS band saw on its own stand, SS Pro planer, Performax horizontal drum sander and both a SS MK V dedicated drill press and a SS ...

Me too! I'm so close but I'm losing the race with the weather and a spring launch is looking more and more likely.
You know you have one more job when the canoe is done. You have to make a hand made paddle (or maybe 2). That will be the ultimate finish.

Re: A Slow Boat To Nowhere

jsburger: Thanks. Even though I know where all the mistakes are, I am very happy so far. I agree the drill bit breaking like that is suspect. Those of us that build things always know where the mistakes are and I think most of us dwell on them. However, usually they are minor and no one else knows ...

Re: Today in the shop (World keeps changing)

The city of Hooper just last month contracted the waste company to do recycling along with garbage pickup. Now there would be two containers. Realize Hooper is not a city. We are 5 miles from the nearest grocery store and gas station. It is incorporated country. I already recycle. Aluminum and plast...

Re: A Slow Boat To Nowhere

The sapele is pretty hard but apparently busted/stripped screws are common and my canoe book said it would happen and it does even though I am driving these by hand. Are you waxing the screws before ya drive em into the pilot hole? I'm embarrassed to say I totally forgot to wax the screws! Maybe I ...

Re: Bowl Turning Question

Well, if they are for a keep sake display then they should not be changed from the way the original person made them. They are small bowls right? Then make a shadow box to mount them in with a brass plate to remember the maker. Born date, died date, etc. This is what I did for my uncle when he died ...

Re: 555272 scroll saw upgrade

And for all the 10ER owners there is the A-34 jig saw. Whoops! Did not mean to exclude it!!! But if I had included it, Dusty would accuse me of being off topic!(reference the thread title!!!!!). :D FWIW you be also by mentioning it!  :D :D Oh well! I think Dusty will survive.
