Well, I didn't read all the posts on this but I've learned it ain't broke unless it breaks or unless you check to see that it ain't broke (e.g., tire pressure, oil level, etc.; just because something else didn't break because you didn't check doesn't mean you shouldn't fix it). Tables out of alignme...

It corrects the bent arms, so common on the porkchops, that make the speed control difficult to turn. It's basically a bolt that prevents the arms from bending again once they are bent back into their correct position. Fred Okay, inquiring minds want to know. What the hell is a "pork chop"...

I have one that looks like that but don't know what the issue is with what you are looking for. I'm parting out MK VII and selling off some 510 parts. This chuck and key look like what I have. PM me and I'll see if I can help.

Thank You for Your Patience

For those of you over 40, or who promise something to your wives, you know that everything takes more time than anticipated. I have accumulated some data on resale value of Mark VII parts and put them into an Excel Spreadsheet along with what similar parts have sold for on eBay. I'll be posting that...

Almost ALL my hand tools are Craftsman and Sears paid for them. In 1963 I worked for Sears and was fired, even though I was the number 1 sales person in the department. I was a threat to the manager. The HR manager said that if I would resign it wouldn't show that I was fired and would be better for...

Well I bought a 1983 SS and it has the large table. Owners manual not to be found . I have a Shopsmith Mark V book (more than an owner's manual) published in 1984 that is in new condition except for some yellow highlighted sentences on maintenance, etc that I wanted to find easily as well as a coup...
