Actually, it depends
This info on selling is good, but, how much is it worth? How does one establish a price for their Shop Smith?? I noticed on Craigs List, that if someone was selling theirs, They would estimate $1100.00 -$1500.00. If someone was selling their grandfather's, it would be priced at around $500.00, with...

Blue Wheel?
Hey Bill, As I read your post I remembered something about using a blue wheel instead of a white (and just throw the grey ones away). It was something about easier to hone?? (I think) when using blue versus white and possibly (damned brain farts!!) ONLY pertained to HSS. A good friend who is big tim...

Why not use the fence and miter gauge as a jig and bore the hole in the horizontal boring mode? The table height determines center in one axis, the fence determines the center in the second axis, and the the miter gauge is used as the back-stop to register the pen blank in the same spot each time. ...

Contact the local TV station
I guess I would take a different direction than the courts. In a previous life I was a mediator and I honestly believe that even small claims court will not help much. However, if you go to the local TV station and ask them to do a piece on landlords and what may or may not happen to your deposit (l...

Go-Daddy
When I clicked the link and Go-Daddy came up I figured you would have an easier time, They have had my dot com for many years and are affordable and quite easy to work with. If you just call them at (480) 505-8877 and explain the situation I am guessing that they will do what they can (legally) for ...

Found other, too
Yep, I could not resist the Rockler "deal" so I bought one and was frustrated until I realized the washing and drying was needed and now works like a charm In the mean time I also got these http://www.amazon.com/Metal-Products-Four-Silicone-Brushes/dp/B00200KHK6/ref=wl_it_dp_o_pC_nS_nC?ie=...

Why not brush at the point of blade contact with the lower wheel just below the table('point of cutting')(near the oem port)? Certainly worth investigating. My unscientific first thoughts were to brush the tires such that the dust would fall towards the lower back dust collection opening and let th...

Thank you
Many thanks to everyone for their solutions. Before reading damagi's explanation from Doug, I began wondering about having two ports. I have the DC and with that amount of suction I figure there will be no problem with two ports. Now I'm convinced it's a good idea. Even thinking about fabricating br...

Site Admin with an Interesting sense of humor
I saw a link to sawblade.com and followed it and just for grins I clicked on the tab that tells the length of blade for different models. When I typed in ShopSmith it displays JIM HENDRICKS as a ShopSmith model. I never knew!! http://www.sawblade.com/Bandsaw-Machine-Blade-Size-Lookup.cfm No, ...
