Nothing spectacular yet this year. This one was pretty nice.

I believe there are two things here to remember. There is quill shaft play related to the bearings. There is quill housing play related to the fit in the head stock. Eliminating/reducing one will not eliminate/reduce the other.

Here is one from today. Not real great but... The clouds have to be just right. We had about 12" of snow during the last week here at the house. Three different events. The northern mountains are doing great. Alta just about 15 miles east of Salt Lake City has had 50+" in the last week.

Has anyone tried clamping stop collars? I assume they can account for minor discrepancies in diameter, but perhaps I'm mistaken about that. Skip Campbell has used them on the Model 10. Well Duh, ADMIN is the one that can fix it. JMO but it seems to me that being able to contact ADMIN directly is the best way to hopefully get a problem fixed.
