This is interesting. Not a problem I recall encountering with Model 5/7xx machines even with the headstock at maximum height. Is the cabinet and/or base frame flexing when that happens? I still think the configuration is very interesting and cool looking. I'd consider trying to make something like ...

A LOT of supporting discussion in the remaining time. Of more interest to me was the difference between the three TB I II III and how they affect the decision of which to use and why they exist. Shelf life discussion was elucidating. Time consuming, yes. Worth watching the whole thing, yes. +1

I agree. I wish he would have at least finished with the headstock he started the video with, it is same as mine, old style motor mounts. Seems like a lot of work to add the fuse and reset switch. I have never had any overheating problems with mine but haven’t done any routing or extended runtimes. ...
