New bandsaw owner

should have the appropriate manual before starting work. Unfortunately, the procedures and saftey instructions that you really should read BEFORE working on equipment that is new to you are not available on line. Headstock Rebuild

instructions on DVD by Jacob Anderson are very good for anyone who needs to tear down and rebuild their headstock. It contains a lot of valuable information that would help anyone to understand how the headstock works. I am very satisfied with the video. However, IMO it does very little, if anything...

Shopsmith tools are too expensive

unless you factor in 1) maintainability, 2) quality and 3) availability of support. The very fact that you are talking about utilizing machines that are fifteen to twenty to thirty years or more old speaks for Shopsmith. The "No Slip Glue Tip"

is really neat. http://www.shopsmithacademy.com/Tips_Archives/SST113_No_Slip_Glue_Tip.htm Here in this part of the desert south west you don't even need sand paper grit to make it work. I keep a small cup of sand from the dry river bed out back on my glue table. A small, small pinch of river sand, a...

Online Catalog - "additions"

Thanks for bringing that to my attention. I'll spend some time tonight checking it out. You know - Shopsmith seems to assume that we automatically find these innovations on our own. Just like they seem to believe that the younger generations, those who have never done woodworking and those who have ...
