&quot wrote:Those must be an ER thing.

My E has through bores with two piece wedges and the inner wedge holds a captive nut(hex shaped hole).
The earlier of my ER's has the same, a PITA to remove/reinstall. The later one wedge design just screws out, no hassle.

I tried The Way Back Machine but that file wasn't archived. I noticed that Tom had not posted anything for some time and a bit more searching on Google lead...

Ghost, (JPG) I've got single wedge locks on a couple machines, and I REALLY like them. When you loosen the locks, the wedges are pulled out, not like the 2 wedge locks, that MIGHT have a spring between them. In my experience, the hold just fine, with minimal tightening. Oh, all 3 locks are pretty m...

Was there a lower guard for the 10ER? I keep hearing about it, but never have seen one. Has someone just made one. That open blade under there does bother me at times..... Dick I saw a picture posted somewhere once of a 10er lower saw guard that had been made from an old stainless steel pot and lid...

Use a center punch to mark the holes, I don't recall it being hard to drill.

In a personal question, BUT on ERs, the one I use for a vertical DP, I really have to gorilla the table locking lever so it does not slip on the way tubes. It was either MCKs site or the other one similar, there was a fix for the wedge in there that tightens on the tube if I am correct. I did not p...
