There are a ton of new technologies that could be coupled to woodworking , specifically small volume shops which would take a lot of the guesswork out.

Its all pressure treated-I don't mind the natural color..but the wife is getting quotes for staining
Will staining preserve pressure treated lumber better than no stain ? That would decide it for me rather than curb appeal.
