Sorry to disappoint, but it's not my ad. Just thought I'd tip off anyone local to this find. BTW, the guy has reduced the price to $75. Got to be a deal for someone nearby who enjoys restoring these machines, as many on this forum seem to do. Peace. Ken I AM disappointed in your LACK of principles....

What I ordered was this 555321 - 5/8" Arbor 500 It does not have a tongue washer and it does have the same surface area as the 1 1/4 arbor. I am not seeing what you guys are talking about with the blade mounting on the other side with the 1 1/4 arbor. I will have to get both of them side by si...

This thread has caused me to take a look at the various drill bits that I have. In doing so, I was reminded that I have a few that are missing. Can anyone help me to locate a source for individual bits to replace those that are missing from my sets. Specifically, I am seeking replacements for New Y...

Hello, This job is TBD for final destination. I didn't know if my amateur techniques in mind would work, but indeed they worked out pretty well. To take some frustration out of a veneer glue-up, I just glued the four walnut quarters in a rough orientation, not minding their gaps (up to 1/4") a...

Just a WAG here. It's because of the rotation and the 5/8" has a tonged washer????? Because they are on opposite sides of the blade. The resistance of the cutting causes the nuts to tighten. The 5/8" has a tongued washer to prevent the blade inertia when 'stopping' from loosening th...

I have assumed that the eccentric mounting tubes are tight and the tailstock insert is also firmly set. . . .
Your tailstock tubes are 'eccentric'?

I started a new thread in order to post these pictures. I felt them easier to locate this way. You can thank my btide of nearly 39 years for these. Jan is paranoid I will injure myself before I heal. Okay the truth is she is the truly thoughtful partner in our marriage. Look around the edges of the...

Equalize the bolts in the mount lock to ensure that it will tighten equally to both tubes.
