Re: Today in the shop "Take two on door trim"

I had the corded version before I ever got the battery one. I too have several other Dewalt battery tools so the same battery platform was a plus as was the use of common other parts from the other router. I have a small MFT style table mounted on my shopsmith and added a drop on small router table ...

Today in the shop "Take two on door trim"

A while back I was working on door trim and dealing with using domino's rather then the other methods I have used in the past. Well after getting my first trim set assembled and all painted up I brought it up and put it in place. I didn't like it at all. Good thing I didn't do multiple sets. So afte...

Re: ID help, pen blank?

Turned one of the blanks, pretty much bland in nature. Since I give away my pens I think perhaps someone might pick it but in the past the very light color pens always go last.... white pen.jpg I think I will tag it with the number 9313 in case at some point I find out how that is related to the typ...

Re: ID help, pen blank?

My searching has turned up nothing new. Went through the last years worth of receipts and found nothing. Now for all I know I purchased these blanks a few or more years back but that search would then become exhaustive. I checked the mail order places I buy blanks but found nothing with this number....

ID help, pen blank?

I'm making pens again and found two blanks with the number 9313 written on them. It is not my handwriting so I have to guess that where ever I purchased them marked them so I could ID them at some point. A google search yielded no useful links. So does anyone know who marks their blanks like this? A...

Re: Face frame Clamps, the question

I've had my Domino for about 9 months now. I love it! I have several options for doing clamping for face frames when pocket holes are used but at this point only the one clamp for doing a domino and glue joint where applying clamping pressure for a long board is the critical component to getting the...

Re: Face frame Clamps, the question

Long side is 81". I went with dominos since I have a machine now, so joints will be glued and no mechanical parts. Before this I would have gone with pocket holes and thinking more on this it might have been a better way to go this time..... Anyway, stuck with needing to clamp this up while the...

Face frame Clamps, the question

A current project would be a lot easier with a pair of these face frame clamps. I have only one. And to be honest I do not love it. So we are all on the same page here is couple of picture: clamp1.jpg clamp2.jpg They let you clamp pieces that would normally require some much long clamps and in gener...

Re: Electrical issue, no neutral wire for Kasa

We are up and running. Checked the box where the light is located and the line wire and travelers that go to the switch were easy to find. Pulled them from the switch box and when I put them back, low and behold there was a white wire there in the box. I must have missed it some how. So life is good...

Re: Battery powered "shop vacs"

good news and not so good news. I like the vacuum. I've got to use it several times already. Picked up the cat litter in the back of the van just fine, then did the rest of the van just because it has been a while since I last cleaned it. Used it to clean the stairs inside the house. Used it to vacu...
