len, I was thinking about your problem. Do you have the 510 with the round tubes? If so, I was wondering if the tube was slipping and not the rip fence, itself.. Just a thought..

Thanks to Everyone, I have just been released from the doctors and I am finally going to get to use my Shopsmith again!! I was considering doing the upgrade fom a 510 to a 520, now all I have to do is save up the money to do it. lol...

alamengual, 3M Company makes a spray that will remove the glue from the disc and won't harm the metal. You can get at at most places that sell supplies to body shops.

cjf1944, I just went through the same thing, except mine had set for about 5 years, due to health problems. All I had to do is wipe it down, put on a coat of wax, oil the sheaves.. It was ready to go!! So yours just sitting a few months shouldn't need any more than mine did... Save your money for th...

bdbc, IF you have an older Shopsmith, they came with only one bearing in the quill, and that caused problems using the mortising attachment. It would cause the bearing to fail, but the newer machines came with two bearings, that solved the problem. I use a dedicated mortising myself.. Because I got ...

dustywoodworker, Thanks!! Already had out the manual, did the cleanup, just had to wipe off some dust.. Now for the waxing and oiling.. It is still on the money on alignment... Again, THANKS!!!
