Well, it's also possible that I caused the same piece of wood to slow down the blade significantly by catching a tooth vs wha...

Wood you expand upon that thought? Well, let's just say I know how much a replacement brake costs now. The most recent time it happened to me, I was cutting, and I had finished and hit the power switch to turn off the saw.. then I reached for the wood to pull it away from the blade while it was pre...

On Wednesday evening my son and I were doing a welding project in his garage workshop. We both looked up to see a Google beetle driving by. It was sporting a wild looking soccer shaped ball on the top. I'll bet a nickle they are driving every street as a new mapping project. I figure one day we wil...

You're off to a great start. A Shopsmith will fit in the .5 garage nicely. Please update your profile with location info, there may be someone near you that can help out. So I did it... Ordered a new mark 7 today after Doug Reid's webinar today. Should be interesting to see how long it takes to arr...

I'm 29 and my grandfather gave me his father's 1955 Mark V Greenie last year, and now I'm using it to build guitars. :D It's still working great, and gonna be cutting a heck of a lot more wood for me! http://www.tdpri.com/forum/2012-tdpri-tele-build-challenge/317890-ugly_guitar_guys-2012-challenge-...

Am I the only one who saw the yardsmith title and immediately imagined a lawnmower chassis with tubes to mount a motor from a shopsmith and a hex-key attached lawnmower blade under the mounting deck?
