Re: Pro Planer Drift Troubleshooting
I had a similar problem when the table was not aligned with the cutter head when I rebuilding planers a few years ago. I was getting crooked feeding of the wood when the left and right jack posts were different heights for the table. I found the table must be almost perfectly aligned with the cutter...

Re: Manuals for shopsmith and clones
I recently purchased a 1986 Menards PHD shopsmith clone with table saw, jigsaw, and belt sander attachments. Can't find a manual for this. Series number 2854741. Would a shopsmith manual be comparable? I have used the Shopsmith manuals for the jig saw and the belt sander to repair the same Total Sh...

Re: bent jointer fence
Just got a jointer and found out when I tighten the fence bolt(one that keeps it tight on the bar) it causes the fence to raise up to high. Appears the channel is bent somewhat. Can the area be bent back slowly on and arbor press or will it break? Any one with experience with this problem? Thanks, ...

Re: Cleaning Aluminium
I saw a YouTube video on cleaning aluminium with Marvel Mystery Oil and thought I would give it a try. At first I just used a paper towel loaded with the oil on my saw table and was surprised at the amount if oxide that came off. Then I took a 0000 steel wool and doused it with the oil and removed ...

Re: wiring diagram for motor
It is possible that the start windings had 220 VAC applied to them. This doubles the current and will overheat and burn the start windings causing them to open or short to ground. Both the start and run windings can only have 110 VAC applied to them. The run windings are connected in parallel for 11...

Re: Slow to gain speed
I was going to say the problem seems to be in the moveable sheave on the motor shaft. JPG beat me to it. The best way I have found to truly lube this - is to put the machine in drill press position. Secure the belt cover up to the top with a string or clamp. Pull out the moveable sheave by hand - D...

Re: Time to plan the shorty shopsmith
I used a metal cutting blade in a hack saw for the first set of tubes I cut. The first tube cut went side ways as I cut through the tube. I marked a straight line around the next tube and just cut through the tube, rotated the tube 20 deg and cut through again. I continue to rotate the tube until I ...

Re: SCROLL SAW PARTS
I recently obtained a scroll saw and am in need of a replacement part for it. Don't have a manual to locate part number. It is the opposite end of the table that supports the U type surface that helps table to rotate left or right. Mine seems to have broken off and only have the screws. Anyone know...

Re: Do I have a mark 500 or 510 model?
The clone cast iron table will have a different size miter gauge slot. It is the same size as the table saws use. I have 2 of the Total Shop tables left. I would be happy to donate one to anyone stopping by my shop, no shipping. I have one of the Total Shop tables with 1/3 of the table cut off mount...

Re: power station parts
I have a Power Station Housing with the speed control handle, shaft and gear. This was left over from my conversion of the Power Station. I also have a carriage assembly available. My Power Station is now a MINI with a reversible motor in the Mark V headstock. A picture can be seen with a search for...
