I suggest thee stop chasing thy tail be comparing edges of different boards.
You need a known straight reference(straight edge or table surface) to critique each board edge.

If you have replaced them with newer carbide tipped blades, a wall decoration function comes to mind.

BTW the idler shaft getting hot is "typical". Attaching a hub helps dissipate heat.
