Good posting! Love to see science being put to good use! It also reminds me of the old days when I had my PE turntable and setting the "pitch". Of couse the days of heavy platers are long gone and with electronic control and stepper motors that is a none issue. I've always used the belt lo...

Great to see some more projects for the shopsmith being posted! I'll leave a few thoughts for you to consider. The width of the insert is not critical so they can be sized with a simple rip operation. The length of the blank is not critical to start with so, a cross- cut gets that with in reason. Th...

OK you guys got us guys that don't watch the videos.... I guess I didn't look close enough at the pdf... didn't notice the screws didn't go all the way though. Now I see they are two different pieces and then it makes sence.

Maybe it was too much thinking of turkey.

HI, If this is going to go on a miter gauge then maybe we will see some use of the molding head?? EDIT: After seeing the larger picture I have no idea how it is going to do what it does......... I've only done it with a regular router table but I can see doing with the OPR but I'm not sure I want to...

Don't worry it is a very small drawing and I can't really see it either. I just happen to know what they look like from previous experence. I'm sure they will post a bigger one once they have the show ready.

Hi, Like how you thought this one through... hope it opens a few non-shopsmith peoples eyes. I also hope you remembered your red jacket and snow scrapers. I know the western part of the UP has snow on the ground and your going to meet some of that white stuff for sure as the northern suburbs of Chic...

Hi, I haven't watched the video yet but I did peak at the jig and it sure looks like what it is. Perhaps it is something for a new handsonline??? If you happen to have the OPR take a look at page 263 In the PTWFE (4th edition) and see the picture in the middle of the page. I've seen this several pla...

I just checked the book and I was correct about the 1.6 times, see page 73 of the current PTWFE just under the Jointer Speed Chart (Table 6-1).

Hi,

From memory the output for the jointer runs at 1.6X the speed on the dial. Since I don't have that number or book in front of me you might want to check the book....
