Does anyone have a picture of how the out feed table or support table mounts on a model 500? I see how it does on the other model that have table extensions.
Thanks
Danny

Re: Changing extension table tubes
I think what Dusty said has some merit and is what I'm looking at to ave some kind of wedge or a way to strap the tubes to help from giving when drilling from the tailstock.

Re: Changing extension table tubes
Roy... Thanks, I believe that's where I saw about the heat gun. I know I can order the tube mount assembly for an extension table from SS. $56.roy_okc wrote:Danny,
Someone did this quite recently on the Facebook Shopsmith group, probably in the last week or maybe two.

Changing extension table tubes
How difficult is it to change the tubes used like on the tailstock? Somewhere I saw that a heat gun will allow the tubes to be removed, is this true? I think I want to installed longer tubes on the tailstock to give more rigidity for turning and drilling.

Re: Bandsaw tension
Well I guess since my bandsaw is from 1985 and I didn't see any reference to relieve the tension and after 35 years the saw seems to work fine and has no tracking issues and I replaced the tires with the "orange" ones back about 10 years ago and ran it on my original headstock at low speed...

Bandsaw tension
I saw a YouTube video about the SS bandsaw and the guy says you are not supposed to leave the blade tensioned when not in use. I don't see that in my manual. Correct or ????

Cole Jaws
Does anyone use a Nova set of Cole Jaws for use with the G3 chuck from SS? If so, how do you like it and does it work well?
Thanks

Velcro disc sander
Can you just use velcro sheet and glue it to the steel disc without doing the SS upgrade?
Thanks
