Be prepared to be rewrapping the carpet on the post. I don't have mini tigers like you, but my old lazy siamese has cut his way through
the carpet layers multiple times on the scratcher he uses.
I would guess there are some stronger choices in fibers to resist them...but i dont know them.

tkjones - I employ the overhead router function often as I find it better for me than my full blown router table. I wish I could tell you exactly why..but to be honest I dont know. I think its something about being able to see the cutting action. The difference being in SS mode- the bit flys above t...

They are interesting...but even if you make 1 cut, change your fence to something else...cant you simply use that first cut you made as the exact reference?

Alright-now I'm done with this project .. built a couple of lamps from the scraps of the scraps that were left !
Somehow after all this scrap reduction, my scrap boxes are just as full and I had to empty my sawdust bag heh.

Heres where I am now. I have enough material left to make a few small lamps I think.
