Re: Scraps project - suggestions
Hah- Thanks Ed - I understand the dilemma ...my firepit is full of scraps I haven't burned and my scrap boxes are overflowing.
I'm trying to do something !
The lathe is a thought, but my SS didn't come with lathe tools, nor have I attempted to set it up or learn that function.

Scraps project - suggestions
I started trying to work my pile of scraps into something functional. Taking all kinds of small pieces i made 3/4" cross sections of various lengths from various wood species. Now-I have a whole bunch of them...kind of assembled like a tabletop...but I have 2 problems. 1) How the heck can I glu...

Re: Non-Thru-Cut Riving Knife
The non thru-cut knife does not provide the kickback pawls of the full blade guard or thru-cut riving knife. In that sense, its one less layer of protection against a kickback. I find myself many times using the non thru-cut knife on thru cuts because I forget to switch back :/ I think in general it...

Re: Repair service
I've visited James around Dec 2020. Pulled and pressed some bearings for me .
He still had his services running at that time.

Re: Bandsaw coupler coming loose.
Thanks all - I rummaged around and found some thread lock and a couple of seemingly unused set screws ...so I will try that first.
Since I was doing it-i went thru all the other power coupler hubs on the tool as well-though I haven't had issue with the others (yet) .

Bandsaw coupler coming loose.
Well-I've been making reindeer lately and with the continuous running of the bandsaw ..I came into an issue. Not sure the name for the thing-but the coupling ring mounted on the bandsaw shaft (black ring in my pic) ..which is held in place with a set screw is coming loose during operation. I've put ...
