Anyone try Rockler Power Bore Drill Bits?
I thought these Rockler Power Bore drill bits looked nice and wondered if anyone had tried them or could offer any feedback on Rockler tools in general. Thanks - Alec

I was nervous about swapping it out, but it went in like a charm! :D . I fired her up with the new quill and shined the spindle end with ...

Thats a good one Chuck - Thanks - I'll try it. I have put a wrench on the arbor, with the sanding disc on the aux. spindle, but haven't tried rapping the wrench. Hopefully that might be just the thing to set 'er loose. Thanks again - Alec

Dusty - Thanks. I soaked the arbor well with p.o. t'nite and am hoping I can get it off t'morrow. I agree - NO HAMMERS... but what to do?
Thanks for the Quill info too. Lots to do, but I enjoy it. At least shiny aluminum is easy!! Alec

Quill, spindle and arbor issues...
Hi Guys. I am restoring a Shopsmith that I bought this past Saturday. I can't get the saw blade off the spindle. Even if I remove the arbor set screw all the way, she is on there tight and won't budge. Secondly: the bright aluminum knurled ring between the arbor and the headstock has some sort of ep...

Great advice
I have enjoyed reading this thread about older machines. I have a 1960 Anniversary Model I am in the process of restoring. It's great fun and I'm looking forward to making sawdust. I was hoping to get one of the original metal saw guard assemblies, but it sounds like I should get the modern one. Bes...
