Hi, We just got back home from our latest trip and wanted to check in. I see I will have my work cut out for me catching up on all the posts here. I do however have one item that I wanted to present. Pattern cutting with the table saw. I don't know how many here have used this method or even know wh...

Hey Ed I looked and couldn't find a picture of it either. It is a "L" shaped piece which is the fence. It has two screws and 2 nuts (washers??) that attach it to the miter gauge. It has one flip-up stop, and the instruction sheet.

The design is so simple I might just have to make my own large sized one or get the kit from Canada. Anyway it is really great they are having thi...

I'll second the open office stuff, a really great deal!

When I was working I used MS office but when I retired I could not afford it.

A lot of photo programs off adding text and arrows etc. Check what ever you are using and see if it has that function or something close like insert text...

OK! way to go! This is the sort of thing I was hoping people would start posting. Keep up the good work. I do have a couple of questions for you. One, how does the weight feel with that much metal hanging out so far out? Two, do you have something on the bottom of the fence to make it slide easier? ...

Yes it is the 556005 and I have featured it in no less then 4-5 posts in the last 6 weeks. If you want to see some of those do a search on "556005".

It's a good addition to your tool collection.

I had a few minutes today to work on the sander. I wanted to add dust collection and wanted to stay on the free side. The solutions was to borrow another shopsmith part and use it. When you see the picture you will know what it is if you have one. Just a few comments about the dust collection, it wo...

[quote="charlese"]Got a better:rolleyes: - or at least different idea - Ed. Use that $300, add $200 and buy a DW-735. That has an internal blower that'll blow chips through a 4" hose for quite a distance. When hooked up to the 3300, through the SS flexible hoses, it blows up both the ...

Can't help but notice, Ed, looking at the spec sheet, this gizmo doesn't move enough CFM to be effective on the 4"-diameter pipe it's designed to fit. Somebody at Steel City needs to buy some batteries for their calculator. With all good wishes, I guess it all depends on what you want it to do...
