Re: overhead or under table routing?

The major difference in above vs below routing may not be as apparent as it first seems. The fundamental different has to do with the bit to reference surface. Where a below operation has the bit coming from the same reference surface to the cut the above version the bit is coming from the non refer...

Re: battery powered lawn mower

I have the 60V Black and Decker mower and of course the batteries in question are for it. It is the only yard tool I have that is battery operated. The battery is large and heavy. That is OK for something that is wheeled around but I sure wouldn't want it on a handheld woodworking tool. The mower ha...

battery powered lawn mower

Just over 4 years ago I needed a lawn mower and decided to get a battery operated one. It has worked fine. But this spring one of the two supplied batteries died. It only needs one to operate. And now the second battery will not charge fully. Guarantee was for 3 years. I was hoping for a bit more li...

Re: Horizontal Table Wobble

My fear is that the legs were bent in relation to the tie bar and then an attempt was made to fix it.... Do the holes look oblong? If so it possible that the aluminum has bent and I would also look very closely to make sure there are no cracks. If all looks good you could attempt to shim but getting...

Re: Horizontal Table Wobble

After watching your newest video I'm a bit worried in that the tubes seem too loose, they normally are a pretty snug fit in the holes before adding the pins. Have to wonder if some damage has occurred some where along the line?? I can pull my manual out and provide shopsmith instructions for replace...

Re: New Spam Technique

I've had someone try that too. Notification let me know and when I went to see, there it was, a link that was not mine. So good thing to check notifications and let moderators know if it has been modified with spam link.

Re: Horizontal Table Wobble

A first guess would be at the legs where they are installed to the table carriage. There is drive pin of sorts that is tapered and driven in place. If some one at some time removed those pins it is possible that they either did not drive them in enough or attempted to reuse the old ones. That is whe...

Re: Broken wheels

Ah the adventure of the 3" wheels..... Looked up my post about it and it looks like mine are from 2012. Mine have to go over some very ruff driveway and so far they have held up.

For those that might like some history here is that post:
