Re: jointer cutter guard
Tom at WoodshopNerdery has a short video about the jointer guard. You can see how the old style guard is supposed to function as well as what it looks like with a failing tension spring. He also discuses the new guard and walks you through the upgrade. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1S69Wb6is14 For...

Re: I have a friend (with a SS Mark V)
The power station is a nice add on.
The jigsaw is no longer supported by Shopsmith.
Scott at mygrowthrings has a video showing how it works. If you do end up purchasing it, make sure it has oil in it.

Re: Push Blocks
Tom from Woodshop Nerdery posted a video on YouTube where he used tool box drawer liner as a pad replacement.
In addition to replacing the pads he added a “ heel” to one of his pushblocks.

Re: How do you guys do it??
I looked at both epoxy flooring and vinyl tiles for my garage floor. In the end I chose to go with the vinyl tile option. As has been mentioned, when done “properly”, installation of epoxy flooring can take several days. I wasn’t to thrilled at the thought of leaving all of my tools outside while wa...

Re: new guy - new / old machine
For those interested, Jacob Anderson made his Bandsaw Repair video available on YouTube. He does a good job going over the complete tear down and rebuild of a Shopsmith bandsaw. Years ago this DVD was only available for purchase. After he retired he generously made the videos available to the Shopsm...

Re: Verde Green hammered spray paint
I think the dark green paint supplied by Shopsmith is the color that is a close match to the Rustoleum Verde Green…or maybe the Rustoleum Verde Green is a close match to the Shopsmith dark green??? Like jpg has pointed out and as the Shopsmith picture indicates, it is not hammered. I believe a lot o...
