Cool.. Thanks! That's what I was looking for and appears to be what Mark is also using per the pictures posted earlier in this thread! I can live with $18 spent.. :D Now to just figure out what else I might need.. By the way.. If I want to use one of the kits from PSI as my first turning project, an...

Mark- (or anyone else that wants to chime in).. Do you have any good suggestions on a quality mandrel that is OK for use w/ the SS and hopefully made in the USA? I guess I need more lathe parts as I've only got the bare basics that came with my machine.. Right now I'm thinking the Mandrel saver is w...

Thanks for the great information guys! I guess I'm leaning on not using the used OneWay Talon available nearby my house and probably just bite the bullet and get either a proper OneWay Talon from SS direct (meaning I don't need to use two adaptors when used with the SS) or try the PSI Utility Grip 4...

This spindle adapter will allow you to use it with the shopsmith. 3 jaw or 4 jaw? Thanks for the tip.. As you can tell I'm a turning newbie.. Anyway, I believe it's a ...

Which OneWay Lathe Chuck for an SS510?

Hi all.. I was checkout some of the threads on turning lately and saw that MBCabinetMaker (aka Mark) uses a OneWay Lathe chuck -- I've only got some of the very basic turning items that came with my used setup.. I also noticed that ShopSmith sells these but they're more $$ than I can fork out today....

Jpg.. If your shopvac isn't too old, you can email them via their website and tell them that the motor is shot or similar and they're pretty good about free replacements. I told them our not too old ShopVac had a faulty power switch that would not keep the power on and they sent me a brand-new repla...
